Pilon is critical when it comes to the term “Intermittent Fasting.”  There are many other methods that use the same term and he names two of them which are LeanGrains and The Renegade Diet.  However, he does not consider these two methods “Intermittent Fasting.”  

He then gives his explanation of “Intermittent Fasting” which is defined as ‘occasional breaks from eating.’  He considers the other two named methods as ‘Intermittent Feeding.’  ‘Intermittent Feeding” is defined as a regimen involving a structured schedule with designated eating periods.
